Unfair dismissal of care home manager - £100K tribunal award

Our HR team have reported on a case of unfair dismissal in the care industry that resulted in a six figure compensation award in favour of the claimant.

The article considers the events that led to the judgement and looks at the shortcomings of the process in this instance. While many of the learnings won’t surprise many employers experienced in conducting disciplinary processes, myHRdept’s article looks at the alternatives the employer could have considered to have achieved the same aim, and at the benefits of using an objective third party.
