JCHR is formed through a collaboration of two organisations:

Our respective privacy policies:
You can access the JC Payroll privacy policy here: https://www.jcpayroll.co.uk/payroll-services/privacy-policy/
You can access HRR Solutions (myHRdept) privacy policy here: https://www.myhrdept.co.uk/legal/privacy-policy/
The following is general information relating to our use of your data and specifically relates to data you give us on our website JCHR.uk. Please refer to the specific payroll and HR privacy policies for information relating to HR or payroll information processing should you wish to opt for either of those services.
Like most websites, we use cookies. The section below on cookies tells you more about them, and how you can adjust cookies for your own personal preferences. We also invite you to submit your name and contact details if you want to discuss our services in more detail. More about that below.
Aside from cookies, our ‘contact us’ form asks for your name and contact details. If you supply these we may
If you decide later that you don’t want to receive our newsletters (which are very informative and contain information about HR and employment law) you can opt out using the very clear opt out button we include with all of our newsletters.
The law requires us to state what lawful means we have to process the information you supply us on JCHR.uk.
The jargon for the legal category is ‘legitimate interests’ which means we process it for our legitimate interests, namely in contacting you to discuss our services in more detail.
We will not share your details with 3rd parties. Should you later opt to procure our services, we will then share your information with those carefully selected 3rd parties whom we use to supply certain parts of our services, like DBS checking, the HR Information System we recommend, other systems you task us to research for you, or occupational health services etc.
We mention these here for your interest. Your details will not be supplied to those providers unless you are under a contract for either payroll or HR, and then only if you are to make use of those additional services. Of course we will only share data for others to process if we have a data sharing agreement in place with them. For the privacy notices applicable, see the JC Payroll and myHRdept privacy notices.
unless you agree otherwise, data supplied via JCHR.uk will be received by JC Payroll and HRR Solutions for the purposes of responding to your ‘contact us’ request. It will not be transferred to other parties.
The website uses cookies to improve the user’s experience while visiting the website. Where applicable the website uses a cookie control system allowing the user on their first visit to the website to allow or disallow the use of cookies on their computer/device. This complies with recent legislative requirements for websites to obtain explicit consent from users before leaving behind or reading files such as cookies on a user’s computer/device.
Cookies are small files saved to the user’s hard drive that track, save and store information about the user’s interactions and usage of the website. This allows the website, through its server to provide the users with a tailored experience within the website.
Users are advised that if they wish to deny the use and saving of cookies from this website on their hard drive they should take necessary steps within their web browser’s security settings to block all cookies from this website and its external serving vendors.
JCHR.uk uses tracking software to monitor its visitors to better understand how they use the site. This software is provided by Google Analytics which uses cookies to track visitor usage. The software will save a cookie to your hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not store, save or collect personal information. You can read Google’s privacy policy here for further information [http://www.google.com/privacy.html ].
Other cookies may be stored to your hard drive by external vendors when this website uses referral programmes, links (sponsored or otherwise) or adverts. Such cookies are used for conversion and referral tracking and typically expire after 30 days, though some may take longer. No personal information is stored, saved or collected.
An overview of Google Analytics is available at http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/analytics/privacyoverview.html.
You are not obliged to accept cookies. If you wish, you can set your browser to notify you before you receive a cookie so you have the chance to accept it and you can also set your browser to refuse to receive or send all cookies. The website http://www.allaboutcookies.org/ (run by the Interactive Marketing Bureau) contains step-by-step guidance on how cookies can be switched off by users.
Google Analytics also uses web beacons (also known as web bugs). A “web beacon” is a clear picture file which keeps track of your navigation through the website. Turning off the website’s cookies as detailed above will prevent web beacons from tracking your specific activity. The web beacon may still record an anonymous visit from your IP address but unique information will not be recorded.
If you wish to opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites you can visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and download the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
By using our website without disabling cookies you are consenting to our use of cookies and web beacons as described in this policy.
More information on cookies and web beacons is available at the website http://www.allaboutcookies.org/
We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. We will securely dispose of personal information that is no longer needed.
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no data transmission over the internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and sophisticated criminals the world over make determined efforts to hack into honest hard-working employer’s systems in order to steal data.
Through VPNs and other security measures we try our best to protect your personal information, but we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Whilst writing privacy policies is not something any normal person would enjoy doing, the numerous laws and obligations that our government impose upon private sector providers mean that we are required to update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations.
We’re pretty sure you won’t mind us doing that, and are probably not terribly interested in receiving updates on this topic either, but we are required to take reasonable steps to notify you of changes to our Privacy Policy should they effect you. If we do that, we will make a note below.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or anything else in this document, please contact us using the information provided below. If you want us to reply, you’ll need to tell us who you are, and how we can contact you.
